Paolino Bacci wins first prize at the XIA Awards 2018

Bacci wins first prize for innovation at the XIA Awards 2018 in the category “Primary Processing and Solid Wood Transformation.”

The winning machine is the MASTER MAX, a 56-axis machining center capable of processing both curved and straight elements, in solid wood and other materials, in batch-one production, without the need for counter-molds thanks to fully motorized, adjustable clamps.

Equipped with two 5-axis heads, the MASTER MAX can perform simultaneous machining and masked-time tool changes. An anthropomorphic robot positioned on one of the two loading sides allows for unattended shifts. The MASTER MAX is the ultimate expression of the flexibility and productivity demanded by the industry—a one-of-a-kind machine that embodies the state of the art of Bacci’s production. A fitting way to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary.
